Japanese quails will be better for you along with some fowls and ducks. About 30 female birds (with 5 to 10 male birds) will give you about 20 eggs per day, each of you can consume about 5 eggs every Alternate day. You may hatch some 30 eggs per month for taking about 10 birds per week.

Housing is simple enclosure for adults and boxes for chicks. Do not keep fowls and ducks with them. Hardy birds may require medical attention rarely. however can get infected with avian diseases.
